GsMen: When I was running R5BB001 on my W900, I tried the SMS inbox feature without actually flashing the phone. I just finalized with this option. The result was this:

When I tried to send a message, there was no "sending" icon. The message didn't get sent and wasn't even in the "outgoing" or "sent" folder. It appears the message immediately became corrupt and ended up in the "saved" folder with the name "Corrupt". Needless to say, the message was then unreadable.

My guess is that I should have done a complete flash for this feature to work better, but also, I've seen quite a few posts with the "Inbox full" problem.

For a W810i branded by Orange FRANCE, I choosen EU2 but i'm unsure about the CDA. Should I type CDA102494/19 as said in the z530_w810 cda.txt?

logger 15.9 allow to make some changes in SMS preferences
but this changes not supported by W900 and W810 phones.
If you have now problems with sending and recieving SMS (Memory is full)
Open this file on "Content" page of logger
www.davinciteam.com/smsrestore.cst
Mark pref_store.txt in popup window
than mark "Upload with Finalization" box
Goto Flash Tab,
Mark only Finalization, and press Flash button.
Few seconds and problem with SMS will be fixed.
Logger 15.91 automaticly ignore "SMS Increase" box for W900 and W810 phones.

Just to confirm a successful W810i flash (eventually) with UK generic firmware (EU2). SMS is working as standard.

Here's a short tutorial to flash the W810i branded by Orange France:
- 1 - Buy an account (10€)
http://www.davinciteam.com/index.php?page=buylogs
Install the USBFlash drivers which could be found on the webpage.
- 2 - Download the W810's special client
http://www.davinciteam.com/client1594.zip
- 3 - Fill the informations (Login, Pass).
Click on Update Settings, Server Status, Info.

Then, GET FLASH FILES
Choose:

W810 R4CE012 EU2
Mark the two boxes (Firmware & Flash) then GetFile.

In Port Settings, select "DCU60" & "115200" and leave RTS,DTR marked.

Inside 'Flash'
Main must be marked and should be filled by W810_R4CE012_MAIN_GENERIC_HN.DVT
and FS too, with w810_R4CE012_FS_EU2.DVT.

CDA? Type: CDA102494/19 then mark Finalisation.
Unmark "Increase SMS Inbox volume" and leave other things as they're.

Shutdown your W810i. Put off the battery, the insert it again.
Connect USB cable to computer (It must be unplugged from the phone).

Click on Flash.
Hold C from the phone, and plug it. Don't leave C! DVT Client should detect it perfectly.

I'm quite sure you can set the speed to maximum. I'm also quite sure that the latest client on www.davinciteam.com works for W810. I don't think 15.94 is W810 specific, but rather that it's the first one to support this model.

I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

Hi guys, I have a UK Orange w810 (English).
How do I flash the phone? Ie, I plug the phone into the computer via the supplied USB Cable, I then turn it on and select file transfer?
Davinci then just says "press power shortly..." and nothing happens!

Hello.

PHONE: W810i Orange Contract (UK)
Davinici: 15.94

I am new to the forum but new to unlocking/debranding. I have used Davinci many times and never had any problems but for the W810i i am having some bother.

I followed the instructions posted

for the DCU-60 cable, and the phones firmware was flashed quickly, about 4 mins. I turned the phone on, and the firmware initialised. Then i tried entering the my O2 sim card, however the phone presented the message "Insert correct SIM card". Realising it had failed, I turned the phone on and off several times and then eventually purchased a 2nd credit and tried the UNLOCK function.

Davinci Client software said 1st Step OK
2nd Step ok, then it said unlock failed. However this used a credit.

With no luck i tried using the Cruiser cable i have, which is approved by Davinci. The firmware loaded onto the phone this time, more slowly than last time. However once it was finished the phone still issues the "insert correct SIM card" message.

Does anyone have any ideas why this has failed? And how can i unlcok it so i can use O2.

I'm affraid none of the flashers today support CID49 unlocking. I seriously have no idea on how your phone could have become locked by just flashing. Sorry.

Sorry if i wasn't clear. But the phone has not become locked by flashing. But it was already locked to orange, and reamins locked to orange even afer firmware upgrades.

well region im looking for would be something like southern europe description. impossible for it to be in asia_c, its too far.

looking at the eastern portion of the europe and of middle east ussually covered by emea from north to south:

baltic
central
????? (southern or maybe balkan) <<<<<<<<<< croatian(hrvatski) it would most likely be tied with serbian (srpski), slovenian (slovenscina - not to be confused with slovencina which is slovak) and shit like that...

No, sorry not (yet) exist. Even if I initialize your original CDA number, I get none response back. If I browse in language lists, I cannot find croatia, slovenia or serbia :-(

Will keep fishing to get it.

ist correct sized in the FTP.
delete it in /Flashes directory, and redownload
