Client Crashing after login

Hello,

I downloaded the latest client (22.57) and installed it ready to finally de-brand my Australian Vodamoan SE C905.

the login box appeared and i entered my stuff.

a few seconds later i am faced with the windows crash box:-

"client.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I run XP Pro sp3 fully updated .

restarted and the same thing happened.

tried it on the laptop and exactly the same happened. crash..

tried it with firewall off, virus protection off, but still crashes ass soon as i press the login button.

tried it on my mates Ubuntu setup using the WINE (windows interface program for linux based machines) , This worked no problem, except I'm a bit scared to attempt debranding via WINE, just incase it decides to fail miserably half way through.

I'm guessing the Client needs to be updated to suit a recent windows update but generally i haven't got a clue.

Any help would be great, cheers.

Re: Client Crashing after login

Our software is fully compatible with XP SP3. You'd need to check your Windows error logs to see the exact cause and location of the error but you should be sure that you don't have a corrupt copy of client.exe by downloading again directly from this link.

I would recommend skipping WINE and running directly from Windows.

Try making sure you have the latest adobe flash player (for internet explorer) installed as this is why it was crashing for me.

An excellent point from Drefsab - do be sure that you have the Adobe Flash plugin for Internet Explorer installed, it is required to show the flash-based demo in the client itself.
