W760 Can't Stream Video after debranding

I'm hoping someone has some insight on this. I recently flashed my W760a (AT&T version) to a generic firmware using the client from this site. I'm very pleased with the results, with one exception as noted in the title. All other web funtionality seems fine upon downloading my carrier web settings. One example of my issue is streaming video from youtube (worked with branded firmware.) Can amyone lend a hand to this flashing newbie?

Thanks for looking into this. Truthfully, I'm suprised this is the only thing that wouldn't work. AT&T had this phone so crippled before (couldn't set apps to always allow internet access for example...imaging my frustration using Opera or Google Maps!) I also have a shortcut key now, instead of a dedicated medianet key...much nicer. So all in all, your company sells a great product, at a fair price, that even a rookie like me can comprehend!

Same thing here. I also recently debranded my AT&T W60 using Da Vinci client and firmware R3DA028. After the upgrade, I lost capability to stream Youtube videos. Is there a solution to this issue?

I like some other folks on other boards are having this problem as well. It says connecting to media server, connected and the buffering 00% and never does more. It was working while it was at&t branded. I went into a at&t shop and tried to compare every setting and couldn't figure it out.
Is it possible that are information XML file contains a string that says w760i now that we have the Europe firmware and the AT&T servers are looking for w760a?
Curious if since Davinci has added an America firmware video streaming has started working?

OK, I solved the issue through an application of a couple of FS-level changes. I've been able to watch Youtube clips and Jon Stewart's Daily Show on CV for the whole past weekend.

Will write-up [a really short and straightforward] walk-through tonight.

Looks like the answer is to use a2 uploader to drop a file called default_upgrade.xml into /tpa/preset/default with the following:

I can confirm youtube now works.

I flashed my phone. I could not access CV. I copy and pasted your text to notepad and saved then changed the extension to .xml...

I can now access the pages with CV, but the videos are stuck at 00% buffering. I have not tried YouTube videos yet.

Any other insight to this issue?

all what you need to do is add this to enable or able the firewall:

to directory: tpa/preset/custom and..................... start watching videos!!!!

I have finally gotten my Sony Ericsson W760a flashed with SE firmware to play Cellular Video and YouTube videos...

Here's how I did it!

First I used the DavinciTeam's flashing client.

Then I waited for the Sony Ericsson website to load for me so I could DL and install the correct MMS and WAP settings. Well, I waited ALL fearking weekend for the pages to not display "Oh no! 404 - Page not found". So I finally called SE's 800 number (it's actually an 866 number) and asked them to send me the settings.

After getting both my MMS and WAP settings I started up a2uploader. I shut off my W760a, removed the battery and reinsterted it. I held down the 5 button and plugged the USB cable in. I then dragged and dropped the files to their appropriate folders. I used the two .xml files in this thread (link located at bottom of post for files/apps used) and ULed them to the phone.

I started with customize_upgrade.xml...

</streaming>

And placed it in directory: /tpa/preset/custom

Then I restarted the phone. CV was not working but YouTube definately was.

Then I ULed default_upgrade.xml...

And placed it in directory: /tpa/preset/default

I restarted the phone again and now both CV and YouTube videos work.

I have the same problem! I tried all solutions you all posted but i got no sucess :( i canīt stream nothing!

Mine is a W760i debrand with Firmware R3EA037 Brazilian Portuguese

Iīm using my Bluetooth USB Dongle to access internet on my cellphone, through Bluesoleil and cable connection...

Can you help me on it?
