TyTN II Coming to T-Mobile USA?

The recent FCC filing in May of 2007 for the HTC TyTN II were held under a confidential agreement until recently and its revealing has promised American T-Mobile users that they will be the first to have access to it. The six included user manuals make mention of MyFaves, T-Mobile HotSpot login screens and the company’s patented T-Zones. The included pictures also show the handheld is the standard pink and gray of T-Mobile USA’s general theme.

As the manuals make mention of UMTS bands 800/1700/2100 in that they are only “For Japan”, it is being speculated by industry insiders that T-Mobile may soon be launching a 3G UMTS/HSDPA network. T-Mobile does not currently operate in any way in Japan and the “For Japan” statement has yet to be fully clarified.

The HTC TyTN II is a PDA/smartphone operating under Windows Mobile 6 and sporting a touch screen and slide-out full QWERTY keyboard. The handheld features quad-band GSM support, full WIFi, Bluetooth 2.0 and a microSD slot for added storage.
